ES Resources exists to support educators implementing California's Ethnic Studies mandate and Model Curriculum. Much of the library is open to anyone. Some tools — lesson planning, saving favourites, applying for grants — need an account, and some are limited to approved educators.

Tell us the truth when you register; we review accounts before approving them, and an account that misrepresents who you are will not be approved. You are responsible for what happens under your account, so keep your sign-in details to yourself. We may suspend or remove an account that is used to harm the community, the materials, or the site itself. You can ask us to close your account at any time.

Do not use the site to break the law, to harass anyone, to misrepresent yourself or your school, to scrape or bulk-download the library, to try to reach material or accounts that are not yours, or to interfere with the service for other people. Automated access outside ordinary browsing needs our agreement first.

When you recommend a resource, apply for a grant, or send us anything else, you confirm it is accurate and that you are entitled to share it. Recommendations are reviewed before they appear, and we may edit, decline, or later remove a submission. You keep ownership of what you write; you give us permission to publish it on this site and in material about it.

Most of what this library points at was made by someone else. Those materials stay the property of whoever created them, and the licence terms on the source govern what you may do with them. Check the source before reusing anything in a classroom, a publication, or a training. We curate and describe, and we make no promise that any particular material fits your classroom, your district's requirements, or the Model Curriculum as your school reads it — that judgement stays with you.

Some features use AI to draft a lesson plan, suggest tags, or transcribe a recorded session. What comes out is a draft for you to review, not a finished or verified product, and it can be wrong. Read it before you teach it.

Applying for a grant does not entitle you to one. Applications are assessed on their merits, and a decision, including the amount, is ours to make. Any award carries the conditions we set out with it.

We aim to keep the site up and the library growing, but we do not promise uninterrupted service. We may change, move, or withdraw any part of the site, including material and features, and we may need to take it down for maintenance.

The site and its content are provided as they are. To the fullest extent the law allows, we exclude implied warranties, and we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss arising from your use of the site or of material found through it. Nothing here excludes liability that cannot lawfully be excluded.

We will update this page when the terms change, and the date at the top will change with it. Continuing to use the site after a change means accepting the revised terms.
